About Me

Hey, how are you? My name is Andy Green and I’m the person behind the content you’ll read here (unless otherwise stated of course). 19 years ago I was born in Grimsby in North East Lincolnshire with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects the parts of your brain responsible for motor skills and audio and visual processing, or as I like to think about it a way of living!

Doctors predicted I wouldn’t be able to walk or talk, but I can do both and more. Ok, it’s noticeable that I have a disability but I don’t let that get in my way. In 2015 I passed my driving test with only one minor, saw my own business make a profit, left college with one AS level and three A levels, was awarded with a Diana Award for Courageous Citizenship, and started a charity. In 2016 I became Northern Lincolnshire’s Young Entrepreneur of the year, hired my first employee, took on an intern and held an event to promote social action to over 200 students in the region with guest speakers from London. I don’t have any plans to slow down either.

I have multiple passions but the main ones are probably tech, charity and education, and in fact I aim to combine the three as much as possible. By day I run Lyke Ltd. which is my software and web development company specialising in bespoke solutions for businesses and individuals, but by… all the rest of the time… I run Counting Hope, a charity I set up to help to empower the people of Cabo Verde by providing them with the education and resources they need to help themselves, and do lots of different charity work. Occasionally I do have some time to myself and hang out with friends but as cheesy as it sounds my hobby really is helping people!

I only starting blogging in 2016 so at times you may have to be a little bit forgiving. I’m not the best at writing but hopefully the majority of people won’t mind me writing style and my aim with this blog is to improve. I’d love to hear your suggestions and advice.

So that’s me in a nutshell, but feel free to ask me any questions that you have. Generally I’ll answer pretty much anything, but I reserve the right not to answer! You can find me on the social networks in the bottom left of every page.

See you around! I hope you enjoy my content.

Remember, the only limitations are posed by ourselves.
